Apple has unveiled its long awaited iPhone 7, which features water resistance, a dual-lens camera, 256gb capacity and wireless AirPod headphones (no headphone jack).
On September 7, Apple announced the iPhones 7 & 7plus, respectively, at its launch event in San Francisco.
Physical appearance:
iPhone 7 & 7 plus has a 4.7-inch and a 5.5-inch Retina HD display, respectively.
These models are constructed with incredibly strong 7000 Series aluminum — are also available in signature silver, gold, rose gold, black (deep matte finish), and jet black. The high-gloss jet black finish was achieved through a new feat of design engineering.
The new jet black finish will be offered exclusively on the 128GB and 256GB models.
Feel : The iPhone 7 feels pretty much the same as the iPhone 6S, because it offers the same size.
A new home button:
The Home button on iPhone 7 is an advanced solid-state button designed to be durable, responsive, and pressure sensitive. Working in tandem with the new Taptic Engine, it gives you precise tactile feedback as you press. And it’s even customizable. Welcome home.
Faster processor: The iPhone 7's new A10 Fusion chip is a 64-bit, quad-core processor that Apple says is 40 percent faster than last year's A9 processor. Two cores are high-performance, the other two are "high efficiency," which means they'll conserve battery while handling tasks.
New camera: The iPhone 7 keeps the 12-megapixel rear camera, but adds a larger aperture which allows up to 50 percent more light onto the camera sensor than iPhone 6s, further enhancing the camera’s ability to take superb low-light photos. Teamed with the new six-element lens, the camera will deliver brighter, more detailed shots
Also, optical image stabilization that keep images steadier and reduce blur associated with motion. A sensor helps the lens counteract even the tiniest movement, allowing for up to 3x longer exposure compared to iPhone 6s.
The iPhone 7's new 7-megapixel front-facing camera leaps up from 5 megapixels on the iPhone 6S , and includes auto-image stabilization (but not optical image stabilization).
Longer battery life:
The battery capacity was not told, but I presume it's a longer battery life. Apple estimates 12 hours of LTE browsing (the iPhone 7 Plus should clock about two more hours).
Storages:
32GB, 128GB, 256GB capacities.
Costs:
In the UK, the iPhone 7 will be available from a starting price of £599 for the cheapest 32GB option. The 128GB version costs £699 and the 256GB version costs £799. The cheapest (32GB) iPhone 7 Plus costs £719, the 128GB model costs £819, and the 256GB model costs £919.
