Just as we promised to feed you back on the Microsoft Surface All-In-One PC which we informed you about last month, it is official now, Microsoft will be hosting an event in New York City on Wednesday October 26, 2016 at 10AM EDT/7AM PDT, with the aim to reveal "what's next for Windows 10." Yeah, everything and anything you can think of about Windows 10 - software updates, bla bla...
Rumors have it that, the all-in-one (AIO) PC that comes in 21-inch, 24-inch, and 27-inch screen sizes, are expected to be unveiled at the Event or probably one of the three will be unveiled. Also, that the long-rumored "Surface Phone" and the "Project Scorpio" Xbox console will probably not be making appearances. However, ZDNet states that, Microsoft will announce some updates related to gaming. The Verge also corroborates, holding that Microsoft will discuss its Xbox gaming strategy while outlining its vision for the future of Windows 10.
ZDNet's Mary Jo Foley also speculates that Microsoft may highlight a bunch of OEM partners at the Event, and stating that the theme of the Event will be "The next chapter in the Windows story".
Ordinarily, Microsoft uses its yearly October events to introduce new hardware products — last year was for the unveiling of the Surface Pro 4 tablet, the Surface Book laptop, and the Lumia 950/950 XL Windows smartphones, but this year is going be different as Microsoft's main aim is to reveal what's next Windows 10 - This is for certain, and all fore-rumors will be laid to rest on that day.
For those that were not fortunate to be invited to attend the Event, you still can experience the Event through live-streaming. The live-stream will be available from the company's website.
