If I could remember vividly while I was growing, my first mobile phone was a Alcatel made - a very ugly big black phone, compared to Trium, Nec, Bird and some existing mobile phones then.
Well, that is a thing of the past! Alcatel, though not a household name in the smartphone manufacturing industries, it recently unveiled a smartphone that is included in the company's Pixi line of devices, tagged Alcatel Pixi 4 Plus Power, which I presume will attract a bit more attention thanks to its LONGER BATTERY CAPACITY.
Yes! "Longer battery capacity"!
The smartphone has its praise sung for its longer battery capacity - a huge 5000 mAh battery. This is considered to be a huge battery even for a high-end device, but for its budget-level specs, this phone falls in the midrange.
The battery features some sort of quick charging technology, and can act as a power bank so you can charge other devices via microUSB.
The Pixi 4 Power Plus features a 5.5-inch 720p display, Android 6.0 Marshmallow, an undisclosed (likely MediaTek) processor, 1GB RAM and 8GB ROM, 13MP rear camera, a 5 mega pixel front-facing camera with flash on both sides, dual-SIM slots, and other standard features like Bluetooth and WiFi.
The price is unknown for now, but given the specs, it should not be expensive.
As an aside, why should Alcatel name its smartphone by such long words (Pixi 4 Power Plus). This sometimes can be unbearable and can degrade the status of the phone! Couldn't they have thought of a better name that is quick to pronounce or have named it "Alcatel P4"?
I suggest you (Alcatel) make a rename of this device, because a better name would add value to it.
