Never would I have thought that the American multinational technology company will expand its horizon to cover Automotive (car making). Yes, you read it right!
Apple Inc., the makers of our most cherished and priced products (iPhone, iPod, iPad, Mac PC, Apple TV, amongst others) has approached British Formula One team owner McLaren Technology Group for a strategic investment or a potential buyout, the Financial Times reported.
Before now, Apple has hired dozens of automotive experts and is exploring making charging stations for electric cars. A very brilliant and impressive idea to come up with, considering the rapid increase of Plug-in Electric Vehicles on our streets. An innovative that will last a long time!
The combination of McLaren technology, producers of high performance sports cars, and Apple Inc., could enhance automotive technology amid reports that the iPhone maker is working on a self-driving car.
Apple also invested $1 billion in Chinese ride-hailing service Didi Chuxing earlier this year.
