Leica Camera AG, a German optics enterprise and manufacturer of Leica cameras. The company is commonly known for its high-quality, iconic design, stellar image quality, and, more importantly, its "premium" pricing. Leica’s cameras.
From time immemorial, the company has released limited editions of its products (... Not a new brand, but an improvement in design of the lineup). Back in 2015, Leica updated it's Leica M-P by redesigning it with brass, repackaging it in a snakeskin custom case, and tagged it Kravitz's Leica, of which only 125 were made, and sold it for almost $24,500. How interesting, right?
Well, that same company is back this year with a titanium made camera, tagging it "Leica M-P TITANUIM", the upgraded version of the Leica M-P camera with 2GB of buffer memory, a sapphire crystal LCD cover, and a 24MP full frame CMOS sensor. The M-P Titanium shares the same hardware as the standard M-P, aside from the solid titanium construction that Leica claims reduces the weight of the camera by around three ounces. Strictly limited to 333 Leica M-P Titaniums sets will be sold, with each kit including a Leica Summicron-M 28mm and Leica APO-Summicron-M 50mm lenses that have been customized with a titanium-anodized finish to match the camera.
The camera goes on sale in October 2016.
Although the pricing is yet to be announced, but going by the standard Leica M-P, it should start from $6,995 (without even factoring in lenses).
Hmmmmmm.... Would I subscribe for this, rather than save up, and get a Hyundai Veloster 2016 starting from $18, 000 MSRP? Never!
