4 Things You Need To Know About The Google Pixel & Pixel XL Smartphones.

Google has finally unveiled its own very first phones! Although, the phones were built in partnership with HTC, Google can now boast of a phone to its name.

That being said, just as we promised you some few days ago to keep you updated on the outcome of Google's event, here are the things you need to know about the Google Pixel & Pixel XL.

Although, nothing overly killing about these devices, Google has made sure of making them standout in their own way, incorporating in them certain features that only them, for now, can provide.

  1. The phones Central Processing Unit are powered with the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 processor. Yea, the latest beast, unlike all the high-end Android smartphones being launched this year with a lower processor, Snapdragon 820. Thus, making the phones the FIRST SMARTPHONE YOU WILL BE ABLE TO TRY FOR NOW WITH A HIGHER PROCESSOR.
  2. Google also has equipped these phones with Google Assistant, which will power Google’s Home hub device and can be your Personal Assistant, offering in-depth conversations and learning about you and what's important in your life. Thus, making the phones the FIRST SMARTPHONES TO HAVE THE GOOGLE ASSISTANT. You can converse with the Google Assistant just as you would to a person. Google says that, "The assistant is conversational—an ongoing two-way dialogue between you and Google that understands your world and helps you get things done. It makes it easy to buy movie tickets while on the go, to find that perfect restaurant for your family to grab a quick bite before the movie starts, and then help you navigate to the theater. It’s a Google for you, by you. The assistant is an ambient experience that will work seamlessly across devices and contexts. So you can summon Google’s help no matter where you are or what the context. It builds on all our years of investment in deeply understanding users' questions."
  3. Google did not leave the devices unequipped with the functionality to support Google's VR Daydream. Thus, making the phones the FIRST SMARTPHONES TO SUPPORT GOOGLE DAYDREAM.
  4. GOOGLE PROUDLY CLAIMS THAT THE PIXEL CAMERA IS THE BEST EVER with the rear camera capturing a larger 1.55 micron pixels and has a f/2.0 aperture.

Google's VP of Product Management, Brian Rakowski, stated that, "With the Pixels, we obsessed over every detail, from the industrial design to the user experience. We carefully sculpted the surfaces of the phone, and rounded the edges to make it easy to grip. We used 2.5D Corning® Gorilla Glass 4 on the front display and back glass to accent the aerospace grade aluminum body. The glass on the back also features Pixel Imprint, our fingerprint sensor, which is placed on the back of the phone where your finger expects it. You can even swipe it to access your notifications. And no matter what you’re using your phone for, you’ll need a battery that lasts all day and charges fast — up to seven hours in 15 minutes."

Before we run through the smartphones specs, it should noted that the differences in the two phones are few, rendering the phone somewhat identical, except for the physical dimensions, size, display  resolution, and battery capacity. See for yourself:
