Why Adopt A Baby When You Can Have A Baby Robot?

Wonder shall never end!

What man's eyes will see and ears will hear in the name of technology inventions is becoming more concerning day-by-day.

Some inventions will leave you amazed in appreciation of what mind that intelligent invention comes from. And some will leave you stupefied considering what on earth such invention is to achieve or what kind of misappropriation of knowledge this is - A notable example is the IdealConceal Double barred 380 caliber cellphone-like gun.

That aside, Toyota, the popular automotive manufacturer, by its non-automotive department have left us amazed at its latest creation of baby robot, tagged "Kirobo Mini", which is said to be designed as a synthetic baby companion for the purposes of “invoking an emotional connection”, has been unveiled in Japan, where the declining birth rates have left many women without children of their own.

The Kirobo Mini a egg-eyed palm-sized robot, is equipped with artificial intelligence, blinks its eyes and speaks with a baby-like high-pitched voice, and has a camera so it can recognise the face of the person speaking to it and respond.
Its package is attached with a "cradle" that doubles as its baby seat designed to fit in car cup holders.

Fuminori Kataoka, Kirobo Mini's chief design engineer stated that, "He wobbles a bit, and this is meant to emulate a seated baby, which hasn't fully developed the skills to balance itself. This vulnerability is meant to invoke an emotional connection."

Toyota plans to sell Kirobo Mini, for 39,800 yen (£300/US$390) in Japan next year.

Well, this is no surprise as we already have a robot nanny, robot dog, robot mom, you can complete the list.
